DIY Girl’s Night

I have been wanting to host a DIY night for a my friends for a while now. I always kept putting it off because I didn’t know exactly what we would make and I figured it would take a lot of work to put together (spoiler alert: it was so easy!). Through encouragement from a friend and her opening her home and basically giving me a date to have the party, I planned the event! I am so glad I finally threw this party (with the help of Rachel), it turned out to be a great night and everyone went home with a couple new necklaces that matches their style!

I wanted the decor to be simple but still pretty. I bought three bouquets of eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s and spread them across Rachel’s table as well as my Ikea work desk that I brought over from my house. I picked up some colorful bowls from West Elm and paired them with my favorite latte bowls from Anthropologie to store the supplies in. It took only minutes to set up!

Rachel’s home made the perfect backdrop!

Of course I had to bring over my Message Board.

We kept the snacks simple but delicious. Waffles with lots of topping options, guac (of course), salsa, chips and flavored drinks. They were a hit!

At each place setting, I personalized a bag for each guest with a fun saying that they could take their necklace home in and use in the future to store jewelry.

Overall, it was a fun night! I feel like I expected it to be difficult to throw this party and honestly it was so laid back. I think when you keep decor and details simple you get to enjoy the night so much more. I can’t wait to have another DIY night soon.

I’ll be back later this week to show the necklaces we made and how to make them. Stay tuned!
