Coasters have been on my “to make” list for a while now. It took me the longest time to land on what I wanted to do. I love these and when I sawthese tiles, I knew the direction I wanted to go! I love the versatility of these, and how the indigo has a faded water color look to them. Play around with different patterns, there are so many possibilities!
Materials: Ceramic coasters (I found mine at Michaels), paint, copper tape (found near the stain glass section of Hobby Lobby or the plumbing section at a hardware store), mod podge, paint brushes, painters tape, cup of water and paper towels.
Steps: Start by taping off your coaster in the design you want, dip your brush in paint and then in the water and gently stroke your coaster to fill in the white area. Wipe off with a paper towel to give it a more faded look. Peel up the painters tape and apply copper tape however you like! Once the paint is dry, give it a coat or two of mod podge to protect against water!
Have fun diy-ing!
