iPad Case | DIY

There are so many great iPad case diy’s floating around on the internet. For my own, I got leather at my local leather shop and some thick aztec printed fabric from Hobby Lobby. I wanted it to have visible stitching so all I did was cut out three pieces of fabric after measuring around my ipad. Then I laid them all out and stitched them together on my sewing machine. So easy!

A few things I learned along the way with working with leather: always use a leather sewing needle, it is unforgiving so always double check your measurements…once you sew, the holes will always be visible if you decide to rip out the seam, use nylon or polyester thread and lastly, embrace the marks of the leather, most have some sort of imperfection.

This case was incredibly cheap to make, especially for the nice textiles I used. Have you made an ipad case? If so, I would love to see!
