Leather Monthly Planner | DIY

I know planners are usually what people run out and purchase at the beginning of the new year, but I decided sometimes you need a kick in the rear end to get your dreams and goals in order so I whipped up this simple leather monthly planner to organize my life a little more. This is the perfect project to make your own because you can make the cover out of any material as well as decorate the inside with colors, washi tape, printed photos and your personal to-dos as well as goals! Plus it is SO cheap to make, you probably have everything you need to make this minimalist planner.

Supplies: Leather, Cardstock or any material for the cover, Printer, Month at a glance download, Week at a glance download, Quote download, Sewing machine (optional), Cricut (optional)

Process: Start by printing out the month at a glance and week at a glance downloads. For each month you’ll need 5 week at a glance downloads and 1 month. Fold all papers in half. Sew the right half of the first page to the left half of the second page. Continue this pattern until all pages are sewn together* Cut your cover material to a quarter inch wider than your printed pages. If you are adding a quote to the cover, insert your material in your Cricut and cut away! You can also print onto the cover or make your own cover. Next, find the middle of the cover and cut two lines down the center to create a very thin piece of material. This will hold your pages in place. Find the middle of your printed pages and slide into your cover. Now add all your important plans to your planner and keep yourself motivated by adding small steps you can do today that will set you up for the future!

*You can also choose to use a glue stick to glue the pages together, I chose sewing since it is easily accessible for me and I like the added detail.

It is fun to carry around a planner, check off small and big to-dos and make small steps toward big goals! Here is to being half way through the year and more motivated to finish strong *insert bicep emoji*
