I found these wedges thrifting the other day (they are originally from Target) and even though I had a similar pair, I went ahead and bought them because of the lower wedge and I would be more willing to turn these into a DIY project than my other pair. I found a great scrap piece of leather at my local leather shop that is thin and stretched well around the heel of the shoes.
I started in the middle and glued down the leather on the back of the heel, then stretched it around to match the curve of the original suede. I used an exacto knife after the glue dried to cut off excess leather.
I’ve been on a wedges kick.. and these are a new favorite for my collection! What have you been making lately?
