I’ve been going strong wearing my bright teal casio watch for about four years now. I just don’t think I can part with that thing anytime soon. It was showing extra wear and tear than usual so my Dad was kind enough to pass along his Timex watch. I made this strap a few weeks ago and have been loving the change. Not to mention, it is basically the easiest do-it-yourself project ever.
Materials: Watch face (mine is Timex), Long piece of scrap leather, stud grommets (I found mine at my local leather store), clasp, crop-o-dile
Steps: Cut a long strip of leather from your scraps, mine measured 18.5 inches and wraps around 2 times (I have a small wrist, so I suggest 20-25 inches and cutting it back to fit your own wrist). Slide the strap through your watch face and punch two holes on both sides of the face and put the stud grommets in place. Punch a hole at each end of the strap and attach the clasp.
Thanks to my super sweet and soon to be mom friend, Liz for being my arm model 😉
