Passport Holder | DIY

**Edit: From publishing this project over two years ago, I have started to make and sell my own passport covers on Etsy. I have sold thousands of covers since then. If you are interested in purchasing one you can head over to my shop here.

With summer well on its way, I’m sure most of you are itching to get out and travel. I am going to India in less than three weeks and I can hardly wait. While packing and planning out necessities I need to travel, I thought it would be nice to have a cute holder for my passport. This took me only fifteen minutes and fits perfectly!

Materials: Leather, Chalk, Passport to measure Optional: paint, paintbrush, q-tips, stamps, hammer

Lay out passport and draw with chalk around leaving two inches on each side to fold over. Cut out. Fold sides over and sew around rectangle. (For sewing leather I have some tips here.)

To decorate the outside, I used q-tips to make a dotted pattern. Use your creativity and make stamps out of erasers or tape out a design and paint over it. Finally, I took a hammer and metal stamps to imprint the words “Just Go”

I am beyond excited to get some stamps in my passport! Are you traveling this summer?

For some great travel accessories & wish list, I guest blogged for my pal Chelsea at Sea, Field & Tribe a few days ago, you can find it here.
