Screenprinting

I’ve wanted to learn how to screen print for quite some time. For Christmas, my brother and sister-in-law gave me all the supplies I would need to screen print. I haven’t found time to try it out until today,  but mainly because I didn’t know what image to screen print. I just decided to do a test run with a design of different shapes. I followed this tutorial and I got some different notes from this tutorial as well. Speedball’s website has a lot of great information if you want to read up on screen printing.

Supplies used: Screen, Drawing fluid, screen filler, squeegee, Screen printing ink, and lots of paper towels.

*I’m pretty sure all of these supplies were purchased at hobby lobby, but can also be ordered from Dick Blick or Amazon.

Screen printing is such a satisfying (and addicting) craft. There is still SO much I need to learn about with screen printing, but today was a great start to the whole process. Do you have any tips?
