Here is a very simple do-it-yourself project to hold all of your summer produce! I’m excited to have a new place to store my fruit, I was running out of room on the counter. This project could also be great for organizing your room, toiletries or work area.
Materials: 1/2 inch hardware wire cloth, 1/4 inch plywood, staple gun, wire cutters, scroll saw or jigsaw, small “s” chain (15 ft should be plenty), ceiling hook.
Steps: First, draw out your circles using items around your home. My circles measured 8 inches, 9 inches and 10 inches. Unroll your hardware wire cloth and cut across the width. I measured 8 squares down and folded the wire at the middle of the third square. Staple the cloth around the parameter of your first circle and staple in place. When you get to the crease use a scrap of wire to join the ends together. Repeat for the other two circles. Attach your chain evenly, I counted 12 links on each. For the chain that is attached to the ceiling, count out 30 links and attach the links together on one “s.” Screw in a ceiling hook and hang!
